K. A. Quinn began her professional writing career as the creator of Dark Reveries, a dark fiction e-zine. Troubled places such as Victorian era asylums have fascinated her since childhood. Over the years, she has found that writing is easier in stolen moments. Her stories often contain magic along with the darker side of humanity.

K. A. Quinn’s first series is The Accident Zone Trilogy, which contains Seared into Shadow, The Devil You Know (previously named The Demon Within), and Plague of Mind. The series follows the Wight family as they face the loss of technology and the rise of dangerous magick in the city of Macallister.

Novellas include The Damaged, a standalone story, and The Dame Millie Series, including Keeper of the Mechanical Insects, and Pirate Widows of London, a steampunk adventure series with a widowed agoraphobic protagonist who discovers unexpected strength and otherwordly mechanical abilities.

Threads of Magic is a dark gaslamp fantasy trilogy about a young aristocratic lady with telepathic abilites whose powerful father is not what he seems. She faces a sinister church, corrupt Lords, and a mysterious plague.
